30 years later

When James first inquired about a portrait he asked for a quick snap shot. Just typing that out makes the hair’s on the back of the neck stand out! LOL I think of a quick snap shot as iPhone photography. Nothing wrong with it, I actually love the simplicity of aim/shoot. However, there is a timeless perfection of using 5 light’s in a studio setting. Attention to detail and the ability to control lighting creates an image that will stand the test of time.

James sent me a copy of his last photo to prove how long it had been since his last portrait sitting. Once the head/shoulder update was complete, I wanted to re-recreate the same pose…. just for fun! I’m not sure who created the first image, and the name of the photographer escapes James. But I thought it was a pretty cool comparison and James did too!
