I photograph many event’s. Over the past 25+ years I’ve never seen the same person accept different awards with-in a few days…. well until this past week!
First the volunteer awards.
The Manitoba Liquor + Lotteries Family volunteer Award was just one of many.
It was presented by Janine Stephens, to The White Family. In recognition of their volunteer contributions to the Freight House, Habitat for Humanity, EcoAction Club, Boys and Girls Club, coaching basketball and mentoring youth at Dufferin school. Together, they encourage inclusiveness, education and respect in the community…. can you say WOW!
Three days later I’m photographing the teaching excellence award, and I recognize the orange flower in her hair and of course her name, Majorie White. I was blown away, how could a single parent make time for all she does.
I don’t often post photo’s of events, but truly felt Marjorie White needed just a little more recognition for her awesome accomplishments. Congratulations once again!
